Featured Student Exhibit: Women in Caesarea Maritima (Margaret Leone, UNC Greensboro)
This project focuses on the three major themes seen throughout the material depictions of women at Caesarea Maritima in Roman Judaea and Syria Palaestina. It focuses on themes of: women defined by men, difference of social status throughout different materials, and the minimal scultpural representaiton. These themes guided the research and examination of the material.
Through this exhibit you can explore the evidence and see the connection of the themes throughout the coinage, scultpure, and insciprtions from Caesarea Maritima.
